“Delicious autumn! My very soul is wedded to it, and if I were a bird I would fly about the earth seeking the successive autumns.” (George Eliot)
There are many positive descriptive words that we can use speaking about
the fall season: beautiful, awesome, fantastic, magical…
We enjoy the colorful cascade of kaleidoscopic leaves, the russet carpet that changed the green grass, the heady air… But is it possible to create the autumn image using only one leaf?
I've tried.
“Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower.” (Albert Camus)
“There is something incredibly nostalgic and significant about the annual cascade of autumn leaves.” (Joe L. Wheeler)
“Anyone who thinks fallen leaves are dead has never watched them dancing on a windy day.” (Shira Tamir)
“Everyone must take time to sit and watch the leaves turn.” (Elizabeth Lawrence)
