The 2nd Week of 2017 in Photos. “All Things Coffee.”

“We want to do a lot of stuff; we're not in great shape. We didn't get a good night's sleep. We're a little depressed. Coffee solves all these problems in one delightful little cup”. Jerry Seinfeld

Many people believe that coffee is more than just a drink.

Most people drink coffee for its taste and its caffeine jolt. They enjoy coffee for the ritual too.

For many of us the day can begin properly only with the first cup of coffee.

Coffee gives energy and coffee helps to relax (though this may seem like a contradiction, but it is not).
Coffee is a family tradition and a ritual for friends, trips and late nights studying. Coffee can be nostalgic.

It warms us up on cold winter days.
Coffee break is literally an excuse to stop your work.
Writers like to write in the coffee shops.
Coffee will always have the way to cheer someone up.

But many people believe that the smell of coffee is even better than its taste. And this seems to be true.
“Coffee smells like freshly ground heaven”. Jesse Lane Adams

Professor Barry Smith, founder of the Centre for the Study of the Senses at the University of London, said: “The smell of freshly-brewed coffee is absolutely wonderful. It’s intoxicating.
But aren’t you always just a little disappointed when you taste it?
People waste a lot of money trying to get better machines, the right pressure, sourcing the beans but it will never happen. When you put it in your mouth it mixes with saliva and that strips off about 300 of these volatile chemicals and they are never going to reach the nose again”.

The aroma of freshly ground coffee beans is the best way to wake up early in the morning.

“The fragrance of freshly roasted coffee is at once tantalizing and satisfying, like a promise made and kept. Unlike purely sweet smells like chocolate, perfume, or incense, the aroma of coffee is neither monotonous nor overbearing. Like the beverage itself, the smell of coffee is refreshing…”                          Joel Schapira, Karl Schapira, David Schapira

The aroma of coffee is tied to the feelings that associate with comfort. It takes us back to sweet memories. It can improve your mood.

“I think if I were a woman I'd wear coffee as a perfume”. John Van Druten
Nowadays  we are able to wear coffee as a perfume – for example with the help of Trussardi “Inside” (for women). Elegance and Italian spirit are the values of Trussardi perfume traditions.
The perfume is built on harmony between woodsy notes and temperament note of coffee.

“Actually, this seems to be the basic need of the human heart in nearly every great crisis – a good hot cup of coffee”. Alexander King
